FILM ACTING
|
|
Students will be invited on a challenging personal journey while exploring how "less is more" when acting in film. The student will have a one-minute contemporary
monologue prepared for the first class and will be assigned scenes. This is not a beginner's class but rather the student's first class with Mike and is a pre-requisite for Advanced Film Acting. The
Basics of Acting or other acting training for stage or film is a pre requisite to this class with Mike Lemon. These classes need not be taken at MLC. Day, Time: Tuesdays or 6:30 - 8:30.

ADVANCED FILM ACTING
|
|
This class is only for those who have attended Film Acting and who are ready to undertake a more demanding agenda. You will explore new horizons in your thoughts, emotions and creativity while working on a new scene with a new scene partner each week. The schedule is intense so
make sure you're able to meet the demands before enrolling. Have a new monologue ready for the first week. Day, Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 - 9:30. Duration/Cost: 6 weeks/$345.

COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL WORKSHOP with Teleprompter Training

The focus of this class is to work on having confidence to be yourself, making choices, centering your energy and taking direction. You will work will cold reads, improvisation techniques,
spokes skills and character types. One session will include teleprompter techniques. Students will be taped and critiqued every week. Day, Time: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:30. Duration/Cost:

VOICE AND SPEECH
|
|
This six-week introduction to voice and speech is designed for actors, voiceover artists, professional speakers and any working individual who wishes to present a more
confident, authoritative, warm and musically interesting voice. We will explore the mechanics of posture, breathing, articulation, forward tone and General American Pronunciation. This course provides a
solid foundation for voice/speech development and brings students to a greater understanding of the skills connected with effective oral communication. Special emphasis will be placed on the development
of compelling delivery and evocative vocal music. Suggested as a pre-requisite to Voiceover Technique. Day, Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:30. Duration/Cost: 6 weeks/$345.

VOICEOVER TECHNIQUE
|
|
Beyond controlling the physical functions of speech/voice production is the actual application of these skills in voiceover artistry. Previous voice and speech training is
highly recommended. Students will work in a professional VO recording studio. MLC VO Casting Director, Rob Holt will guide students first hand through the entire auditioning and booking process during

CHILDREN'S COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP I

|
This course is designed to train children from age 8 through 12 to be good listeners, follow directions, make creative choices and work with others successfully. Students will
work with commercial copy used in actual auditions. They are taught how to handle a professional audition, conduct themselves in a mature manner and to have focused attention when involved in the
creative process. Students must have self discipline and be a strong reader to register for this class. Each week, the students will work on camera and get feedback. Their work is videotaped for them to
take with them. Parents are invited in during the final class to ask questions and observe. Limited to 12 students. Day, Time: Saturday, 10:00 - 12:00. Duration/Cost:

Techniques learned in level I are reinforced. More challenging audition material is used. They will also work with cold readings and cue cards. During the final two weeks,
students will be introduced to film audition techniques and see how they differ from commercial auditions. They will work with one liners and short two person scenes. Emphasis will be placed on
