      "THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST"

      Mike Lemon Casting is seeking submissions from SAG extras for an upcoming
      feature film "The Best and the Brightest"

      The Best and The Brightest is a comedy about a young couple, recently relocated from Delaware to New York City, who are unprepared for the craziness of trying to enroll
      one's child into a decent kindergarten.

      They will see SAG talent

      [RASHEEN] A wise, quiet 6 year-old African American or Hispanic boy with a world
      of hurt in his thousand year-old eyes.  Rasheen is very aware and sensitive.  When he is separated from his family on the subway, Sam takes Rasheen under his wing, only to
      realize that Rasheen is a foster kid who has no intention of returning to his foster home,
      where he was maltreated.  Rasheen and Sam develop a unique and wonderful friendship
      which makes it harder for Sam to do the right thing and get him back home…

      Talent Needed for Short Film Oasis

      Oasis is a short film about a Cowboy on a mission who crosses paths with an old school Sheriff in a sleepy western town.  The Sheriff is determined to keep the peace, but the Cowboy has other plans.  A devious plot unfolds in a thriller that keeps you guessing
      until the explosive climax. 

      They will audition Union and Non-Union talent.
      Auditions will be scheduled by appointment.
      Shooting will take place May 25th -29th.
      They will be shooting in the Lehighton and Jim Thorpe, PA areas.

      There is no pay, but food and housing will be provided.

      They are casting the following roles:

      Cowboy - Male, Early 30's, Caucasian
      Medium Build.  Rough and rugged look with a Cowboy charm. He is very intelligent,
      good at reading people and stays calm under pressure.  Can find his way out of any
      situation.

      Sheriff - Male, Mid 50's to Early 60's, Caucasian
      A refined cowboy. It has taken him many years to tame this western border town and
      perfect the calm fire that burns behind his aviators.  His past in this town has earned him
      the love, fear and respect of the towns people.  This is his town and he can smell trouble
      from a mile away and confronts it head on.

      Hotel Clerk - Male, 30-70's, Open Ethnicity
      The clerk grew up working at the motel Oasis Stop and Go.  He knows everyone in the
      small town, and sees everyone who passes through.  He's friendly, but a bit of a nosey
      gossip.

      Convenience Store Cashier - Male, Early to Mid 20's, Caucasian
      Grew up in the little town of Sweetwater.  Has been working at this convenience store for
      about a year.  Very timid. never was one for bravery.

      Mexican Gangster - Male, 30's - 40's, Hispanic
      Heavy build. Tough guy.  Small man syndrome. Dose not take much from strangers but
      subservient to his superiors.

      Mexican Drug Lord - Male, 30's - 50's, Hispanic
      Although rough looking he covers it well by wearing nice clothes and styling his hair.
      Very business driven. He will do what ever it takes to get the job done. Not scared of
      anything. 

      Abby - Female, 10 - 12 Caucasian
      Cowboy's daughter. Sweet and innocent. Lived with her mother but has always and will
      always be a daddies girl.

      Waitress - Female, 20 - Mid 30's Caucasian
      Sweet girl, but wise to the world. She's not just working for fun.  She takes it seriously
      because she has bills to pay and is all business about the job.

      Spotlight on Teens and Children

      We are happy to announce the following events for our younger talent
      including teens ages 13 through high school and children.


      Monthly Open Call for Teens and Kids: On the 2nd Wednesday of every month, beginning with May 13, we will have an open call from 3 to 4:30. Talent must sign up in advance
      on our website by creating their talent profile (this is free) and then signing up under EVENTS. 24 teens and children ages 6 to 12 will be seen each month.

      Kids & Teens Voiceover Workshop for Children ages 8 to 12 and Teens
      Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009
      Work with professional VO copy and record in our VO sound studio.

      Teen Summer Academy: spend a 5 day week at MLC
      All candidates must be interviewed. Contact Sandy to request an interview.

      Children's Summer Workshop
      Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
      11:00 to 3:00 / $295
      Workshops will include audition techniques for
      commercials and film, improvisation, appropriate behavior on a set after booking a job
      and more. Limit: 12 per workshop.
      Business Seminar with Mike Lemon, CSA and Casting Director, Adrienne Covington
      Learn the ins and outs of navigating the many roads in show business. This is for adult talent and parents of young talent. Teens are welcome to attend free of charge with a paying adult. No children please. Cost: $25 / Dates posted on the website.
      Next date: Sat. June 13, 10AM-12. Taught by Mike Lemon
      All parents of young talent are urged to be sure that their child's online talent file at MLC is
      up to date with a recent, clear photograph, current clothing sizes, height, weight, resume, etc. Outdated talent files, especially for younger talent who change so quickly, are useless to
      MLC and our clients. The Basic Talent File is FREE.


      Private Coaching with Donna Marrazzo

      Whether you are preparing for the TAGP auditions, preparing for a college or
