BIG CHANGES HERE AT MLC! PLEASE READ!
Hi! It's Spring ... so we're cleaning house here at MLC, streamlining our operations and our systems to better serve our Clients, their Clients, the Agents and Managers and the Talent. In the long run, we're aiming to
make all our lives easier and our work more effective.
The most significant change for now is that we're GOING 'ELECTRONIC' with all of our talent files and headshots and will be in touch shortly to explain the
new system - but AS OF TODAY, OUR FILES as we've known them ARE CLOSED.
What this means to the talent is:
1. OPEN CALLS. We are still holding our monthly OPEN CALLS ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH. If you're attending, bring ONLY TWO HARD COPY HEADSHOTS to these calls - until further notice. Your materials
will be then be entered in the electronic system when it goes up. 2. WE WON'T HAVE HARD COPY HEADSHOTS ON FILE. For years now, talent have been able to pull headshots from their files here for auditions but
that won't be possible now. We won't have any filing cabinets! SO... PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING AT LEAST ONE - AND PREFERABLY TWO - HEADSHOTS - WITH RESUMES - TO EACH AUDITION.
3. WE AREN'T ACCEPTING UPDATED HEADSHOTS AND RESUMES - FOR NOW. We've also encouraged the talent to stop in and drop off new headshots and update their files personally - but that's changing, too. We will
eventually be receiving your new and updated materials electronically but that system won't be in place for several weeks. In the meantime, please HOLD OFF ON SUBMITTING UPDATED MATERIALS until further notice.
4. THE FILES ARE SEALED. The physical files are now sealed so you won't be able to retrieve your headshots. You can rest assured, however, that your headshots and resumes are being shredded and your identities
safeguarded. 5. ON-LINE ACCESS WILL BE ESSENTIAL. We know there is still some small percentage of you, the talent, who don't yet have a computer or on-line access. Please make that investment in your future and
career - it's been important and now it's essential. In the long run, we know that this change is inevitable - and that this change will make everyone's work life better. The challenge is in the transition.
Thanks, as always, for your cooperation and support. WE'LL KEEP YOU POSTED!
All our best, Mike, Adrienne, Sandy, Rob, Annette and Tamika |
