The objective of this professional workshop is to demystify the TV pilot casting process and provide advice, guidance, constructive feedback
and coaching on each actor's audition performance.
The class will begin with a discussion and Q&A about the TV industry, the players involved and how best to market and promote a TV career. Each actor will be assigned an audition scene from previous audition material and work one on one with a reader. Please bring a VHS tape if you wish to record your work.
The class is limited to actors with proper training and/or experience.
Applicants are considered based upon agent referral or review of headshot and resume. This is not a beginner workshop.

GEOFFREY SOFFER is a well-respected talent and casting executive based in New York who recently launched a talent management and production company. Recently, Geoffrey cast the final two
seasons of the hit ABC television series, "Ugly Betty", and the primetime New York drama, "The Beautiful Life" produced by Ashton Kutcher for The CW. He was a casting executive at ABC/ABC Studios in New York from
2003-2008, and credits include work on the original NY casting of "Army Wives" for Lifetime, "Miss/Guided" produced by Ashton Kutcher, "Ugly Betty", "Dirty Sexy Money", and the Sam Raimi produced series,
"Legend of the Seeker", among many others. Geoff spent two seasons at the Tony Award winning Roundabout Theater Company and was Associate Casting Director on the Broadway revivals of Cabaret, The Real Thing, The
Rainmaker with Woody Harrelson, True West with Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C. Reilly, among others. As an educator, Geoff teaches TV audition techniques at Brown University's MFA Acting program and is on the
faculty of Pace University's BFA Acting program. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
