Read what students and parents have to say about Teen Academy
Sandy, I just wanted to drop you a note about the girls...we just received the call that they booked the movie that they auditioned for while taking your summer academy class. The movie is called "The Devil
Wears Prada" and is starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. The girls roles are Cassie and Caroline and they are playing Meryl Streep's twin daughters.
Needless to say, we are flying high with
excitement. I want to thank you and all of your staff for the wonderful class that the girls attended. I truly think that it gave them the confidence and assurance that they needed to win this role. They have taken
several classes in the last couple of years and we can honestly say that MLC's class was the most educational and informative for the girls. They walked away with so much more insight and information into the world
of acting that they never received anywhere else. Thank you again and we'll be in touch!

I would just like to thank you for a great time at the Summer Academy for Teens! I had a great time and wouldn't change much. I would just like to say that I especially enjoyed working with all of the different
teachers, the "sit in" for the adult auditions, the auditions we had, and the monologues we also had towards the end of the week. I am looking forward to coming back and seeing everyone soon! Thanks for
all you do!
-Amanda
I will never forget my experience at Teen Academy 2006. I learned everything I needed to know about On-Screen acting, I know exactly what to do when I walk into an audition room, I listened to every single detail
during the "actor's journey" sessions, and I met some amazing people - inside the class and out. I'm really glad that we taped all of our mock auditions. As soon as I got home I popped in the tape and
watched it over and over again for almost an hour. Now I can critique myself and improve anything I need to improve. I also learned, sitting in with Big T (Terry) and Annette during the open call, what to do and
what not to do during an open call. Knowing you have to have that extra something in order to stand out amongst the rest has been extremely helpful. Last but not least, I will never forget Mike's story. about the
wood table. I have never thought with a different perception like that before, and it was very inspiring. I'm already half way through the book Mike sent me, thanks a bunch. My experience at Teen Academy was the
high-light of my summer, and Mike Lemon casting is definitely the coolest. I will use every single thing I learned there in the future. Thanks again Sandy for choosing me in the interview! On a scale from one to ten
- Mike Lemon Casting is an eleven, I had an amazing time! And I am not just saying that to brown nose - seriously.

I thought teen academy was an amazing experience. I thought all of the teachers were great and fun. Terry was awesome, she was full of energy and I really enjoyed having her as a core teacher. The open call was
one of my favorite parts of the week. I loved working as an intern and helping with the open call. I also liked sitting in with Mike and listening to his feedback for the performers. It helped me to grow as a film
actor. The mock auditions were so much fun and I loved how they were able to give you feedback right there so you knew what you needed to work on and what they would have wanted.
Getting to be with Mike
one-on-one was the best experience of the week. HE is so knowledgeable about what he speaks. Every word he says is just so full of power. He taught me a lot and I want to thank him for all that he did. I really
enjoyed working with him. He is such an amazing person and hopefully I will get to work with him soon. Getting the inside scoop of what a casting Director does was really fun and actually made me want to take that
up as one of my many career paths I hope to pursue. I have sent in my application for internship and hope to hear from you soon. The entire experience was life changing. I learned so much and had a great time! The
kids were awesome, the teachers were awesome, and the facility was great.
Thank you so much everyone from Mike Lemon for allowing this experience to be made possible. Sincerely, Rebecca
I had such a great time! Everyone at MLC is so nice and are totally willing to help you with whatever you need. Mike is amazing and inspirational, while Terry, Annette and Rob are funny, and always willing to
teach. I especially loved working at the Open Call and seeing all types of people come in and perform. This is the perfect summer activity for any teenager who is interested in acting, wants to become a better actor,
or is just expanding their horizons and testing out new activities. Everything else was plain amazing- I had never been in a Voice Over Booth before, but it was so cool and then to hear people doing their voiceovers
sends shivers up the spine. It was also really interesting because we were working in front of the camera and we could later watch ourselves at home and evaluate what we did. What was more, when we performed our
monologues for Mike he was really supportive and would help us make it seem real. All in all- Teen Academy ! is a must! Can't wait until Teen Academy 2007! Thank you so much, Sandy!! -Vicki
This was my second time taking the Teen Academy at MLC. My outlook this year on the week was much different than the previous year. Though I knew I was doing the same things, I still received a different
experience. The classes were wonderful. I don't think I really realized how challenging commercial work can be until I did it again with Terry this year, so I was very happy I was able to work on that. Of course,
film is very challenging as well, so I was naturally very happy to be able to work with Terry and yourself.
I absolutely love the staff at MLC. Terry is so funny and always kept me interested with her
stories, and how she teaches her classes. Annette is probably the most informative person I have ever met, and she also helped the group out with monologues a bit. She spoke about toning things down and getting
centered, and I thought that was very helpful. Of course you always help me in some way with film acting, Sandy. I love doing it, and you are always ready to give me a new challenge in redirection or monologues, so
I am very appreciative of that.

I wanted to thank you for this amazing opportunity. I loved everything. That includes the classes, teachers, open call, round table, business seminar, mock auditions and meeting with Mike. I also really enjoyed
working with the other students that took the course with me. I am looking forward to participating again next summer. Again thank you for the opportunity to expand my horizons.
