Teen Open Call for Ages 13 - 17 3 to 4 PM
NOTE: There will be no Open Call by appointment for teens/kids the 2nd Wed. of July and August.
Teens are invited
to come to our no appointment needed teen open call on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 1-3PM
The normal schedule will resume in September.
Are you ready to compete in the professional market?
Are you already on file at MikeLemonCasting, but haven't been here in a long time? Are you on file, but have had braces taken off, hair cut or just plain "grown up" in recent months and need to update your file?
Outdated pictures of teen talent are useless to us!
You are invited to attend a special Open Call. An Open Call is an opportunity to audition and be evaluated by an MLC staff member. If you are accepted
to be in our database, you will be eligible to be submitted by your agent or manager for professional auditions or called directly by us for those auditions if you have no manager or agent.
If we do not feel that you are ready for professional work, you will be placed in our "extra only" reserve in consideration for background work.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE SEEN AT THIS OPEN CALL
Talent must sign up in advance on our website by creating their talent profile (this is free) and then signing up under MANAGE EVENTS.
- Before arrival you must fill out our Talent Application Form. This can be found on our website. You must
scan a clear headshot or school picture into your application form. Once logged in to your profile, click on MANAGE EVENTS and sign up for the Children & Teens Open Call event.
- ONLY 1 PERSON MAY ACCOMPANY TEEN. We kindly ask that no other family members or acquaintences enter the building.
- Arrive at MLC 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
- Bring one clear photo of yourself with resumes attached. If you do not have
professional headshots, we accept school pictures or a clear, close-up photo.
- Optional: 1-2 minute, age appropriate monologue. Please tell the Casting Director if you have one prepared.
- You will be given 2 pieces of commercial copy to read. One will be a "real teen" type (be yourself and smile). The other will be of a more serious nature; for example, a PSA about drug use. Our goals are to
evaluate the following in a matter of only 2 or 3 minutes with each teen:
1. An individual's type and overall look 2. Can you take direction 3. Ability to read and infuse life into copy at a moment's notice
4. Comfort zone in a studio with a casting director 5. Vocal skills 6. General personality and presentation
