AUDITION TECHNIQUES
An exciting six week course focusing on a different audition area each week and taught by a different expert in that field each of the weeks.

Polish those auditions skills. Learn to go into an audition with the right energy. 

Do you ever ask yourself any of these questions after an audition:

• What were they looking for?
• Why don't I book these types of jobs?
• What did I do wrong?
• What did I do right?
• What did they mean by comments like "stop acting" or "keep it simple"?

 Week 1: Solid information on how to prepare for an audition from the moment you get the call to walking into the audition room.
Instructor: Mike Lemon, CSA

Week 2: Auditioning for commercials and PSA's.
Instructor:  Sandy Stefanowicz, Casting Director and acting teacher at MLC

Week 3: The nuts and bolts of a successful Industrial Film Audition.
Instructor: Pete Safran, SAI Global

Week 4: Voiceover auditions and the special demands of working in a VO studio.
Instructor: Rob Holt, MLC Casting Director

Week 5: Bringing spokes copy to life and using a teleprompter.
Instructor: Allison Green, VO teacher and Vo artist

Week 6: The art of feature film auditions.
Instructor:  Mike Lemon, CSA (Casting Society of America) who has been casting such films as The Sixth Sense, Philadelphia, Annapolis and Beloved over the past 22 years.  Mike has worked with such directors as M Night Shyamalan and Jonathan Demme.

Time: 6:30 to 9:00

Students: Maximum of 12 adult students who have previous professional training and audition experience.  No beginners please.

REMEMBER:

• Dress comfortably / bring a drink or bottled water for yourself
• Try to plan to be on time and to stay the full time
• Parking: street meters at 25 cents per 15 minutes.  We do not recommend parking in the lot next to the building if there is no attendant.  MLC takes no responsibility for cars.
• Bring a VHS tape with your name on the spine if you wish to record your work
